What is an attorney review period? So in most States, when a contract is signed, there is a period of anywhere between 3 to 10 days after the contract is signed, where the attorneys for the seller and the buyer can choose to either modify or reject or accept any of the terms in the contract. The attorney review period cannot be used for the price, but it can use for the use for anything else. Earnest money, date of closing, if the property is being taken as is where is, or if there's repairs that need to be done. So at any point in time, between 3 and 10 days after the contract is signed, the attorney from either party can say, Hey, we're going to change this, we're going to add things to it, or we're going to reject it completely.
